Bill Leedham is the President and Senior Geoscientist of Down 2 Earth Environmental Services Inc., and is licensed with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) as a Professional Geoscientist (P. Geo.). Prior to establishing his own consulting firm in 2011, Mr. Leedham worked in senior management positions for a number of environmental engineering and consulting companies. Mr. Leedham is registered as a Qualified Person (QPESA) with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks (MECP), for conducting Environmental Site Assessments and completing Records of Site Condition, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 153/04, as amended.
Mr. Leedham graduated with a Geologic Technologist Diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario. Bill is registered as a Certified Environmental Site Assessor (CESA) with AESAC. Since 2002, he has been the primary course developer and Head Instructor for AESAC's nationally accredited Phase One and Two ESA Training and Certification courses. Bill is continually updating and upgrading AESAC course materials; developing new training modules; and is a member of AESAC's Certification and Ethics & Discipline committees.
Mr. Leedham has over thirty years of consulting experience in the areas of Phase One and Phase Two ESA, site remediation, geology, contaminant hydrogeology, geotechnical investigations, peer review, training/mentoring, risk assessment, risk management, hazardous materials management, and building sciences. Bill has presented environmental training courses and seminars across Canada for private consulting firms, government agencies including Transport Canada and INAC/AANDC, and professional associations APGO and AESAC; and has been a guest lecturer at educational institutions such as Seneca College and Fleming College.
Bill is passionate about mentoring, preventing pollution and promoting adaptive Brownfield re-development. In his spare time, Bill enjoys outdoor activities such as skiing and hiking, craft beer and gourmet roasted coffee.
