  • Bill Leedham, P.Geo., QP, CESA

    Ontario/East & Head Instructor

    Bill Leedham is the President of Down 2 Earth Environmental Services Inc.,  and is licensed with the Association of Professional Geoscientists of Ontario (APGO) as a Professional Geoscientist (P. Geo.). Prior to establishing his own consulting firm, Mr. Leedham has worked in senior management positions for a number of environmental engineering and consulting companies.
    Mr. Leedham is registered as a Qualified Person (QP-ESA) with the Ontario Ministry of Environment (MOE), for conducting Environmental Site Assessments and completing Records of Site Condition, in accordance with Ontario Regulations 153/04 and 511/09.
    Mr. Leedham graduated with a Geologic Technologist Diploma from Sir Sandford Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario. Bill is registered as a Certified Environmental Site Assessor (CESA) with AESAC; and has been teaching AESAC’s nationally accredited Phase 1 ESA Training and Certification course since 2005. Bill is continually updating and upgrading AESAC course materials; developing new training modules; and is a member of AESAC’s Certification and Ethics & Discipline committees.
    Mr. Leedham has over twenty seven years of consulting experience in the areas of environmental site assessments, site remediation, geology, contaminant hydrogeology, geotechnical investigations and building sciences; and has conducted, managed, or peer-reviewed hundreds of ESA, remediation and risk assessment projects across Canada.

  • Gerard Testa P.Ag., CESA

    Alberta Instructor

    Gerard is the CEO of RCGI, and has worked in the environmental consulting industry for over 22 years. He received a B.Ed. from the University of Calgary in 1987, focusing on biological and political sciences. In 1991, Gerard graduated from Olds College with an Honours Diploma in Agronomy with a specialization in reclamation. He is currently registered as a Professional Agrologist with the Alberta Institute of Agrologists (AIA), and a Certified Environmental Site Assessor (CESA) with AESAC.

    Gerard has always had a passion for the natural sciences. Being a consultant allowed him to use that passion to focus his career on “undoing” some of the negative environmental impacts from earlier industrial activities in western Canada. He lives for the challenges and complexities of the environmental remediation that continue to fascinate him and feels fortunate to work with a great team of dedicated scientists who also enjoy the challenges of environmental remediation.

    Gerard brings his Upstream Oil & Gas expertise, and past teaching experience to AESAC’s Phase 1 and 2 ESA training courses in Alberta.

  • Rani Wiedemann, M.Env.Sc, P.Ag., RESA

    Upstream Oil & Gas Instructor

    Rani has over 16 years of experience in environmental consulting. She has a master’s degree in Environmental Science from the University of Toronto and obtained her Professional Agrologist (P.Ag.) designation from the Alberta Institute of Agrologists in 2012.

    As our reclamation specialist, Rani manages client reclamation programs and the reclamation certification process in addition to soil and vegetation Detailed Site Assessments, Environmental Site Assessments, contaminant investigations and waste management. Her experience includes assessment and remediation of upstream, downstream and commercial sites.
