Certification Requirements For Environmental Site Assessor Designation – C.E.S.A.

Aesac’s Certification Point Credits
Total 100 points plus exam with 75% pass mark required for CESA designation
Post Secondary Education Post Secondary degree or equivalent in related field 25 points Community College diploma in related field 15 points High School Diploma 10 points Maximum of 25 points. 50 Points Total
Phase I Training For each 8 hours of AESAC – approved course time 5 points AESAC Phase I Training Course 25 points
Professional Contributions Relevant professional designations (P.Eng., CET) (Maximum 10 pts. each)

Contribution to AESAC committee (Maximum 25 points)

 50 Points Total
Experience Practical Experience (Minimum of 25 points Maximum of 50 points)

Point for every 10 days of relevant experience (1 year=200 days=20 points
Reports One Phase I Site Assessment Report must be submitted for review.

Additional requirements when making application for C.E.S.A.:

    • Successfully completed the AESAC Phase I environmental training course exam
    • Annual membership must be paid up & current
    • CURRENT CV
    • Letter of reference from your current employer (if employed) documenting your experience and duties / detailed company profile if self employed
    • Documentation of education as stated in your membership application (photo copies)
    • Certificate showing proof of Errors & Omissions Insurance
    • Submit one Phase I site assessment report for review
    • Certification & report review fee $500.00 plus any annual dues
    • Once you have been awarded the designation C.E.S.A. You are required to keep your membership current and agree to abide by any rules and regulations, code of ethics, etc. that may be imposed by AESAC
